My name is Cecil Alexander and my God has done wonderful things for me. My life was started in San Antonio but soon found myself raised in East St Louis, Illinois only to become a gangster disciple at the age of 12. Which is when I began robbing dealing drugs and all other things associated with gangs. I have sold drug been addicted to drugs lost my best friend who gave me three beautiful children to cancer, became addicted again, cleaned myself up only to meet the woman to bring me back to God.

My life has been a roller-coaster of up and downs, but if not for the mercy of God I would not have a happy beauty family that I am proud of every time I walk into the house, not to mention that the transformation that Good hope Baptist Church has help me to make by learning from Pastor Oyedokun and the strong men of God that he has surrounded himself with. I feel that with Pastor O and the band of deacons that I call on almost daily I can’t possibly go back to the person that I used to be.

Since becoming a member of Good Hope. I truly have grown to know what the true meaning of family and love is. I really do love working for Jesus in his kingdom. I also love to hear a very powerful word from our Pastor. I have been truly blessed and I can say that it is not a Sunday that goes by I don’t want to miss. The Holy Spirit is truly at Good Hope. You can just feel nothing but the presence of the lord. I remember going on the Internet looking for a church home. So could do more of what God wanted me to do. The spirit led me there and I knew from the first visit I was coming back. Now I can say there is truly no place like home. I love Good Hope and i’m so glad God guided me. I have been ever so Thankful.
