The Dooley Family
Dr. K.A. (Shawn) Dooley is a native of Memphis, TN, who grew up in South Memphis. He attended public schools with graduation from Mitchell High School. After graduation, Dr. Dooley enlisted in the United States Army, where he honorably served for over 12 years in multiple duty stations and combat tours with distinction.
While on active duty, Dr. Dooley attended Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and his Master of Divinity Degree in Theology. In 2023, Pastor Dooley achieved another significant academic milestone by obtaining his Doctoral degree in Pastoral Theology from Andersonville University.
At a young age, Dr. Dooley received his call to the Ministry and was formally ordained at age 18. He served many positions within the church, including Youth Pastor, Associate Minister, Pastor Assistant, and Spiritual Advisor of the Music Department. Dr. Dooley presently serves as the Senior Pastor of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas.
Over the years, Dr. Dooley served as a servant leader in his local communities—in Killeen, TX, at Workforce Solutions of Central Texas and in Copperas Cove, TX, with the Copperas Cove Independent School District. His efforts aided in youth and adult education growth through his communication, presence, and direct advocacy in the Central Texas area. Moreover, he continues his service as a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated, and Jno G. Lewis Masonic Lodge No. 622.
Dr. Dooley and his wife, Ashley, have four children. Dr. Dooley believes, “To whom much is given, much is required,” so you must be busy as a wise steward and ambassador for the Lord.
